FHE has been doing a great job getting timely information to its members. We are asking for your help this year in some subscription changes. The reasons for the changes are: 1- printing costs are going up and 2- the large number of subscribers (over 200) makes the publishing process a bit more complex. The volunteer staff will also be receiving an across the board 100% pay increase. (Don't panic -- read that last sentence carefully!) Printing costs have increased. Those of you who have to make copies know that. We have enjoyed an extremely low rate with Frank Meyer's printing privi-leges. We are raising the cost of the subscription to $20.00 a year. This is a sudden increase, but you can have a break! We earn some money from skate night and have some monies saved. Therefore, FHE is able to safely offer the current annual rate of $15.00 for the upcoming year to those who subscribe between May 15th and July 15th. Please find your renewal form on the colored cover page. If you renew after July 15th you will be charged the new rate of $20.00 per year. That cost is still only $2.00 per issue. And this fee includes the FHE directory of all members that will be mailed out during the month of October. The August newsletter, which is the first issue of the 97-98 school year, will go out to everyone that subscribes by July 15th. As always new homeschoolers who have not previously subscribed to the newsletter can receive a complimentary copy. Thanks for making FHE a continued success! |
